Biggest Diamond Ever Found
By Ronnie

On January 26, 1905, in our own home country of South Africa, The Cullinan Diamond was discovered, weighing a whopping 3,106 carats. To put that in perspective, the average engagement ring has a diamond of 1 or 2 carats. Anything over 3 is considered large and impressive. This was over 3,000!
It has since been cut into three smaller stones, Cullinan I, Cullinan II, and Cullinan III. The largest of which is affectionately known as the Star of Africa , seen here. The Star of Africa holds the place of 2nd largest cut diamond in the world and is on display with the other Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.
